When does apologising stop being polite and start being rude? The answer is in my most recent Tinder date. This was Date Zero, the encounter that led me to delete all dating apps and leave romance up to the universe.
In my dating career, my instinct has been to do a runner. Hotfoot it away from questions about my feelings on motherhood, escape from one-sided conversations, scarper from boring coffee and tea talk. I knew it was time to force myself to stay put. So I signed up for a blind dinner date.
